Alexander Roslavets
Alexander Roslavets graduated at St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in 2014 where he studied under ,Professor Nikolai Okhotnikov. While studying, he has made his debuts in The Tsar's Bride, Mephistopheles in Faust and King ,Dodon in The Golden Cockerel. In April 2014 he then made his debut on the stage of the Mikhailovsky Theatre as Tom in Un ,ballo in maschera.
He was admitted to the Young Artist Program of the Bolshoi and in 2015 he made his debut on the big stage in La traviata under the baton of Tugan Sokhiev and as Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
Moreover he performed the role of Duke of Cornwall in the World Premier of S. Slonimsky's King Lear on the stage of the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall conducted by Vladimir Jurowsky and he took part in the new production of La damnation de Faust staged by Peter Stein at Bolshoi.
In October 2016 he joined the ensemble of the Hamburg State Opera where he made his debut as Monterone in Rigoletto, singing then in several new productions and ,revivals of Otello, Lucia di Lammermoor, Requiem/Verdi, La bohéme, Midsummer night's dream, Il barbiere di Siviglia.
He is the winner of many International Competion as the Russian National Vocal Graduates Competition in St. Petersburg, where he won the Grand Prix, the Obraztsova Competition, Vishnevskaya Competition in Moscow, Eva Marton Competition in Budapest. In 2017 he took part at Belvedere Competition where he was awarded a special prize and he won the second prize ,in the 3rd International Singing Competition of Portofino.
He has performed in various theaters and roles; among the most important ones in Colline in La bohème, Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Bartolo in Le Nozze di Figaro, Fafner in Siegfried and in Das Rheingold, Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte, Dulcamara in L'elisir d'amore, Leporello in Don Giovanni, Frère Bernard in Saint Francois d'Assise, Varlaam in Boris NP, Sarastro and Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Hamburgische Staatsoper. Other important debuts include debuts at Teatro alla Scala in the title role of Cherubini's Ali Baba, at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as King René in Jolanta and at the Glyndebourne Festival as Waterman in Rusalka, a role he also sang at the Berlin Philharmonie, at the Monnaie in Brussels with the Mozart/Da Ponte project, at the Deutsche Oper Berlin as Ramfis in Aida and Colline and at ROH Covent Garden as Timur in Turandot. Recent and upcoming engagements include Guerra e Pace in Geneva, Luisa Miller in Hamburg, Roméo et Juliette in Malmo, Le coq d'or at the Komische Oper, a debut at the Opéra de Paris in Boris Gudonov, Mazeppa at the Tiroler Festspiele, Ivan il Terribile at Santa Cecilia, and Boris Gudonov again at the Royal Opera House.
