Denys Pivnitskyi

Born in Kharkiv in Ucraina in 1990, he begins his music studies at the Gnesinyh School of music in Moscow.  ,

In 2011 he moves to Milan, where he studies at the Claudio Abbado Music School and makes his debut as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly.

In the following years, he makes his debuts in the main tenor roles, such as Alfredo in La traviata in Genova, Cavaradossi in Tosca in Rovereto, the first performance of Il Re Cervo for Opera Festival in Galati (Romania) later performed in Avignon, Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana and La traviata in Reggio Calabria. He made his debut as Osaka in a new production of Iris for Circuito Toscano, and sang then Manrico in Trovatore for the Circuito Marchigiano, Le Villi in Modena, his debut ,with Orchestra Verdi in La Giara by Casella, Aida at Tiroler Festspiele in Erl, the debut as Radames in Aida at Festival Verdi in Parma and as Cavaradossi in Tosca at Mikhailovski Theatre in St. Petersburg, Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci in Avignone and Massy, Tosca in Novara and Trapani, Madama Butterfly in Paris, Le villi in Cagliari.

He made an impression as Don Juan in a new production of Flammen in Praga, staged by Calixto Bieito, and will be back to Prague for Aida, Cavalleria rusticana and a new Lady Macbeth of Mcensk. He has opened 2023 Season in Cagliari in Cilea’s Gloria, and will make his German debut as Radames in Aida in Hannover.
