Francesco Pittari
After his studies in violin and composition, he studied singing getting the Diploma. Since his debut in Macbeth by Verdi (Salerno, 2006), his name regularly appears on the playbills of the world’s most prestigious theatres (Verona Arena, Carlo Felice in Genoa, San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Israeli Opera, Festival Puccini at Torre del Lago, Royal Opera House, Royal Opera House Muscat).
He dedicates himself to character roles (Arlecchino, Goro, Edmondo, L'incredibile, Pong, Arturo) and thanks to his qualities he has become one of the favourite singers of important orchestra conductors such as Oren, Santi, Jurowsky, Ranzani, Aprea, Armiliato, Morandi as well as directors such as Zeffirelli, De Bosio, Homoki, Zambello, Mazzonis, Pontiggia, Deflo, Proietti, Ranieri, De Tommasi, Micheletto.
Consequently, he has had the opportunity to tread the boards alongside eminent performers among which Nucci, Bruson, Alvarez, Casolla.
About his recent and future engagements: Aida in Verona and at La Scala, Turandot in Salerno, Rome and Verona, LaTraviata in Salerno and at the San Carlo di Napoli, Otello and Il tabarro at the Filarmonico di Verona, Norma and Pagliacci in Muscat, Il pirata, Attila, I Masnadieri, Adriana Lecouvreur, Rigoletto and La Gioconda at Teatro Teatro alla Scala, I Masnadieri in Savonlinna, Falstaff in Vicenza under the baton of Ivan Fischer and in Lyon, Tosca in Naples and Salerno, Les vêpres siciliennes in Palermo, Bologna and Roma under M° Gatti.
