Mara Gaudenzi
Born in Cattolica, she studied at theUniversity of Bologna where she graduated in Classical Literature and at thesame time studied Opera Singing at the G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro underthe guidance of Prof. Agata Bienkowska, graduating with top marks, honours andhonourable mention.
She distinguished herself in severalcompetitions and won third prize at the 'Etta e Paolo Limiti' InternationalCompetition in Milan, was a finalist in the XLVIII edition of the 'Toti DalMonte' International Competition in Treviso and won a merit scholarship as bestItalian artist.
Concert engagements have seen her as soloist in W. A. Mozart's Requiem with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo and the Orchestra Giovanile del Piemonte, in Haydn's Missa in Angustiis, Nelson Mass.
She has performed the role of Orfeo in C. W. Gluck's opera, Doralba in L'impresario in angustie by Cimarosa, Dorotea in Le convenienze e inconvenienze teatrali, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Serafina in Il campanello and Camilla in Il giovedì grasso by G. Donizetti at the Teatro Comunale di Treviso, Flora in La traviata, Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Teatro Mancinelli di Orvieto.
In 2021, she was selected as a student of the opera studio in Tenerife where she debuted the role of Fidalma in Il matrimonio segreto. She sang for the Rossini Festival in Wildbad in the role of Enrico in Elisabetta Regina d'Inghilterra conducted by Maestro Antonino Fogliani andreceived a merit scholarship as the best student at the Belcanto Academy inWildbad.
She recently debuted the roles of Ciesca and Suora Infermiera in Puccini's Trittico at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan. She was selected as a student of the R. Celletti Academy in Martina Franca, which awarded her one of three scholarships for the best students of the academy. She is currently attending the two-year advanced training course for opera singers at the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala where she made her debut in the role of Angelina in La Cenerentola for children.
Her recent and future engagements include La Cenerentola at the Teatro Coccia in Novara, conducted by Maestro Fogliani and directed by T. Gargano, performances of Il matrimonio segreto at the Teatro alla Scala, the Teatro Regio in Parma and the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Il piccolo principe in the title role at the Teatro alla Scala, Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Regio in Turin, in Rovigo and in Ravenna, and La Cenerentola in Kiel.
